Tools & Calculators
Working calculators for daily metrology — conversions, uncertainty budgets and acceptance decisions. All calculations run locally; nothing is stored.
Unit Converter
Full-precision conversion factors; temperature converts through kelvin.
Uncertainty Budget (GUM)
Enter each component in the SAME unit as the measurand. Values are converted to standard uncertainties by the distribution divisor, scaled by the sensitivity coefficient, then combined by root-sum-of-squares (uncorrelated inputs).
| Source | Value (±) | Distribution | Coeff |cᵢ| | uᵢ | |

k = 2 corresponds to ≈95 % coverage for a normal distribution with large effective degrees of freedom. If one rectangular component dominates or repeats are few, see the GUM (Welch–Satterthwaite) before quoting 95 %.
TUR & Guard Band Calculator
Test uncertainty ratio and ILAC-G8 guarded acceptance — both inputs as symmetric half-widths in the same unit.
Uncertainty Rounding & Significant Figures
GUM 7.2.6 convention: report the expanded uncertainty to two significant figures and round the measured value to the same decimal place.
Calibration Interval Analysis
Simplified exponential-reliability adjustment (NCSLI RP-1 / ILAC-G24 style) from as-found data for one instrument family. Adjustment factor capped at ×0.5–×2.
Thermal Expansion Correction
Dimensional results refer to 20 °C (ISO 1). ΔL = α · L · (T − 20 °C).
These tools support, but do not replace, a documented uncertainty evaluation per the GUM and your laboratory's procedures.
